White Kendo jackets are popular among women and kids, although there exists no interdiction for men of using white jackets for Keiko (training) in Kendo. This jacket is also appreciated by Koryu practitioners, and even by some Aikido groups focusing on weapon's training. Overall, compared to Aikido or Judo Gi, this Kendo model is less resistant, but has the advantage of featuring a cut that greatly suits sword practice. The jacket is longer and the lateral vents have been replaced by a back vent, so it stays securely in the Hakama. The shorter and tighter sleeves gives you more freedom to move with a sword.

Unlike as for our Aikido jackets, the fabric (Sashiko/rice grain weave) is used vertically, resulting in an enhanced flexibility and great comfort.
